Parent & Community Support
Band Boosters
Rockford Band Boosters provides parent support for Rockford's Middle and High School instrumental music programs. There are over 1,000 students registered in the instrumental music programs offered.
Choir Boosters
The Rockford Choir Boosters provide support for voice instruction.
Rockford Choirs
The Rockford High School Choirs are known throughout their region for consistently exemplary performances. With as many as three hundred students participating in five curricular choirs, as well as multiple extracurricular choirs, opportunities abound for small and large group singing. Rockford Bands
The Rockford Public Schools Band Program offers an enriching musical journey for students, beginning in sixth grade and continuing through high school. Our program provides opportunities for all skill levels, featuring an award-winning marching band, audition-only ensembles for advanced musicians, and a vibrant co-curricular jazz band. Students develop their musical talents, teamwork, and leadership skills while creating lifelong memories. Join us and become part of a proud tradition of musical excellence!
Rockford Orchestra
The Rockford Public Schools Orchestra Program, the newest addition to our district's esteemed music offerings, has grown significantly since its inception over a decade ago. Beginning in sixth grade, the program provides students with a strong foundation in string performance. Our program continues to offer a wide variety of experiences for students, including auditioned ensembles at the high school for advanced musicians, chamber music experiences, and a co-curricular alternative styles ensemble. Rockford Theatre
The Rockford Public Schools Theatre Program offers students the chance to shine both on the stage and behind the scenes. Students can participate in a variety of performances, including large musical productions, small student-directed pieces, and everything in between. For those who prefer the technical side of theatre, there are opportunities in props, costumes, set design, stage crew, lighting, and more.
