The Community Services Department within the Rockford Public Schools district offers a wide variety of enrichment classes and recreational opportunities for adults and youth. Whether it is trying a new art class or joining the community choir, joining our soccer program or playing monthly bingo with other senior citizens - our goal is to offer something for everyone! Rockford Community Services youth recreation programs and activities are designed to teach participants sports fundamentals, the importance of team play, and sportsmanship. Our goal is to encourage skill development and foster a positive attitude without emphasizing winning every game as a primary goal. Rockford Community Services offers a variety of sports programs including fall and spring DK-8th grade co-ed soccer, fall boys and girls DK-6th grade basketball, summer golf lessons, Tae Kwon Do, and fall girls 3rd-6th grade volleyball.

Rockford Community Services adult recreation programs are for community members of all fitness levels. Our programs provide a perfect opportunity to be active, social, reconnect, or start fresh with a sport or new activity. In Rockford Public Schools, we are fortunate to have two district swimming pools, one at North Rockford Middle School and one at Rockford High School. We offer a variety of aquatic program opportunities, from swim lessons to triathlon training. Click on our online registration site to check out our current aquatic happenings and to register! We also offer opportunities for the community to use our pools for Open Swim and Lap Swim. Dates & times subject to change. The Pools and all Community Services programming will be cancelled when the district is closed due to inclement weather; as well as the Indoor Track at RHS.

What is a Lifetime Golden Age Pass?

Rockford Public Schools offers a Lifetime Golden Age Pass to seniors who are 60 years of age or older. This card is accepted in lieu of entrance fees for regular season, home and away, district athletic events. This pass is a single pass, meaning the name on the pass is the only person who enters for free. 

Please note: This pass is good for “at the door” only. Any online pre-sales will have to be purchased.

1- How To Get Your Lifetime Golden Age Pass

This card is presented as a partial “thank you” for your years of actively supporting our schools. This pass can be obtained by visiting our Rockford Community Services office located at 350 North Main Street in downtown Rockford, Michigan. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Please bring your driver’s license. Questions? Call us at 616-863-6322.
