Technology, Habits, and State Testing
As we enter the final ten weeks of the school year, there are a few important themes that are front of mind for our staff and students:
State Testing (M-Step & PSAT):
Spring testing season is upon us, and students will be participating in both M-Step and PSAT assessments. These tests provide valuable insight into student growth and help us tailor instruction to meet their needs. We appreciate your partnership in encouraging rest, focus, and confidence during this time. As a district we are intentional about reminders surrounding testing, but to be frank, preparation starts day one of the school year and ends on June 6th this year.
Teaching and Learning in the Age of Technology:
From Google to AI, the digital tools available to our students continue to evolve. Our focus is on teaching both staff and students how to use these tools responsibly—balancing innovation with the importance of primary sources, original thinking, and academic integrity.
Building Mini Habits for Success:
Small, consistent habits often lead to big wins. Whether it’s reading a few pages each night, staying organized with assignments, or setting personal goals, we are working with students to build routines that support both academic and personal growth.
These are just a few of the “big rocks” we’re navigating together this spring. Thank you for your continued support—it makes all the difference!
