SchoolStore
This year we are partnering with SchoolStore to raise funds for essential tools our students and teachers need to succeed! This fundraising campaign kicks off Tuesday, January 21st students will bring home a packet where you will find important information about a safe and easy way your family can help our school get the essential tools our students and teachers need to succeed. It will also let you know how your child can win fun prizes just for helping!
yearbook orders
You can now order a 2024-2025 yearbook online using the Meadow Ridge Yearbook ID Code: 14558525. Please note these are separate orders from picture packages; yearbooks are not included in picture day packages.
Playground pals
Our “Playground Pals” Program is designed to support our playground staff with extra supervision during lunch recesses.
Playground Pals will take place every Tuesday & Thursday December 3rd – May 29th from 11:30am-1:00pm. As a volunteer your role will be to ensure safe play for all students on the playground, encourage positive interactions, and promote positive sportsmanship. You will receive a quick training of playground rules and procedures beforehand.
For this program, you MUST have an active Volunteer Consent Form on file for the 2024-2025 school year. Once you have completed it please email Michelle Smyth msmyth@rockfordschools.org.
This program allows for lots of parent volunteers so please sign up for a day or two!
extra clothing
It is recommended that all students K-5 keep extra clothes in their locker (shirt, pants, underwear, & socks). Students may need to change due to bathroom accidents, spills in the cafeteria, or getting wet/dirty at recess.
We no longer have a Care Closet at the building so having these clothes on hand is highly recommended. Thanks for your cooperation.
Care closet
Because we no longer have a Care Closet here we recommend all donations go to North Kent Connect, they are a great resource for families in need. We appreciate all the donations that have come in but we simply do not have the space for items.
NWEA Testing
NWEA Testing window is January 13th-24th, please make sure your student has their headphones and computer at school each day.

Grasp is back!
GRASP is a correspondence program for students in Kindergarten through 8th grades which helps students maintain reading and math skills while they are on summer break. Enrolled students will receive a packet of materials with a booklet containing nine lessons. It should take your student approximately one hour to complete each weekly lesson. They can complete one lesson a week or work at their own pace, as long as all lessons are submitted before August 8th. The students can mail the lessons to GRASP for scoring and the results will be returned to them, via the email provided. Or, new this year, lessons can be scored with a parent/guardian cell phone instead of mailing them in! Details regarding this process will be sent in May to the email provided on the order. There is also an on-line version of GRASP for students in 4th through 8th grade and these students will also receive results via the email provided.
Students who successfully complete and submit at least seven lessons with 70% accuracy are awarded a certificate. Those who successfully complete and submit all nine lessons with 70% accuracy will receive a medal! Certificates and medals will be distributed by your student’s school at the beginning of the next school year.
Please order your student’s CURRENT grade level. If there are extenuating circumstances, order the level that is appropriate for your student. The fees for the summer of 2025 are $26 for one subject or $48 for both subjects for each student. You can enroll your student for the book version (grades K-8) or the optional online version (grades 4-8) by completing the registration and payment online.
