M-STEP testing will begin when we return from break.  Students in the 3rd - 5th will take this test online. We are scheduling the test in smaller chunks (max 45 min.) to give students a better testing experience.  As we get closer to the testing dates, your child’s teacher will communicate more information regarding M-STEP.  

Please help us by making sure your child is in school on the testing days. We ask that appointments and days off be scheduled to avoid the dates below.  Please encourage your children to do their best, as the outcome of these tests helps guide our instruction in the future. Please contact the office or your child’s teacher with questions regarding the M-STEP. Thank you for all you do to ensure student success here at Parkside!  

We love seeing our students walk home—especially as the weather gets nicer! As students get older and more independent, some families choose to allow them to walk home on their own whenever they'd like. If this is the case for your child, please be sure to notify the office so we can update our records and ensure their safety.

If we haven’t received permission from you, our para staff will have your child follow their regular dismissal plan and ride the bus as usual. Your communication helps us keep all students safe and accounted for.
